This is a top 5 performance. I went through 5 books in 2 weeks while listening to them while working, so this is more of an overall review but each book is a near perfect production.

Humor is well delivered and the story is unpredictable but easy enough to follow.

Plot is unique while also playing off of common tropes in a refreshing way. I’m a little afraid the plot with fall apart soon, or take too mamy books to finish (possibly up to 18 if certain plot elements correlate to series length), not because I have much reason to believe there isn’t a plan or the author is running out of ideas, but more so I want for this series to be fully fleshed out. Really can’t overstate how much I enjoy these books.

The brutality might be too much for some, though it’s never overly detailed, just sometimes details a gruesome scene. Language too, turns out the apocalypse causes enough stress to cuss a decent amount.

Overall this is a silly yet mature book. I don’t consider it a LitRPG, it’s just that much better than any other comparable series of that genre.
