This book was actually better than I thought it would be. it was also lacking in other parts. I do feel like this book deserves a 5 star overall, but just barely.
adept archives is the best book I’ve read of Darren Hultberg Jr right now, I don’t know if that’ll change in the future.

The Narration is actually good, Andrew tell actually isn’t that bad. he has alot of different voices, and he can put emotion into the characters he’s doing. I feel like he was a solid choice for this book. I’d give the Narration a 4.5 star.

The characters actually aren’t that bad, through 1 and 3 I liked them, they were written pretty well. None of them were annoying or just irked me. They really were decent characters throughout the entire omnibus. I do also like the mc, he’s actually pretty decent. I kinda think he’s relatable at times, and he’s pretty headstrong, even if he does make some dumb decisions.
I do also think he grew alot in these three books, he changed fundamentally as a person, there’s actually character development with all the characters, and that’s another thing I like about this book. Darren makes all the characters feel important, they all have a unique story that really draws them in. some of the main side characters really feel like they could be the Mc.
I rate the characters a 5 star, and I rate the character development a 4.5.

The plot wasn’t really lacking persay, i was intrigued for most of the books but that 2nd one has some boring parts in it. I do still think the plot is written good but I feel like it could be better.
The 1st book was good, I really had nothing to say about it, than the 2nd book came along and I was still liking the story, and then the 3rd book came along and I knew this omnibus was actually pretty good.
I rate the plot a 4.3 star.
I also like the world building, it’s pretty detailed and the world in unique in a myriad of different ways, I think it’s written very well and it’s certainly something I really liked about this story. I rate the world building a 4.8 star.

i feel like he didn’t progress enough in the 3 books, he was always getting his butt handed to him, he was always getting saved basically. I felt like he was way to weak. He also was a martial artist in his past life so I thought that would give him something. it really didn’t, his skill doesn’t even really matter, what he has in skill is just overpowered on pure strength/speed. Then there’s this, so basically when you kill a beast or human you get soul essence that can make you stronger, so it’s almost like a notification. You know when you killed someone because you took there soul essence, so tell my why on 2 occasions Roy and his team get tricked into thinking someone is dead when there really not?. I honestly don’t have the answer to this. Now let’s talk about the cultivation, you can call this a cultivation book. They do cultivate and it’s mentioned alot. it may not be something crazy, but there is alot of cultivation in this book, there always training there body by meditation, and they’re time skips where the train. don’t expect some crazy hard-core cultivation because that’s not what your getting.

I do think there’s a real big chunk of action in these books, it’s actually safe to say these books are kinda action packed, I do like the fighting alot, one main reason is because it reminds me of a anime. I do think this is one of the more enjoyable aspects of this book, and I rate it a 4.6 star.

That’s everything we’re going over in this review!. I do recommend this book, you’re getting a nice long omnibus that’ll keep you busy for a few days.
Darren actually did really good with this book, and I do think there’s room for a book 4, and I’ll certainly be back if that ever comes out!.
