In my mind this book has been highly anticipated for a number of years. If you follow The Dragons of Valdier series, then you know who Barrack and Brogan are. We all know the story of what happened to the original Twin Dragons however we come to find out they were not dead as originally thought. They were given a second chance at finding their true mate but it comes with strings.

Fast forward a couple centuries later when the Twin Dragons know where their mate is. It seems to me that all of the mates are located on Earth which makes sense, because that is one of the new worlds that has not fully been discovered yet by all of the alien planets, however I would wish that other beings are being explored for mates. But I digress.

I loved Delilah because she is a survivor. She does not accept everything that she is told she contemplates and thinks about it and analyzes. She is also really funny and just a genuinely likeable character. Barrack and Brogan Are Yin Yang of one another which makes sense because they are twins but I like how both of the personalities match Hurst. There are some times where she is hot tempered and there are times where she just needs calm and relaxation. Her dragon on the other hand is a bit feisty and I’m all for a feisty dragon.

Of course in the background Delilah is going through a whole bunch of shenanigans occurring in her life. Humans can be worthless at times and in this book that is the case. There’s a greedy human in the background trying to steal everything she owns right from under her and if that doesn’t work murder is totally acceptable.

This story wasn’t overly sexual and overly violent which is something you would know if you follow S.E. Smith. This is a great addition to the series and I am so happy that Delilah get to be with her best friend Sara from Jaguin’s Love. I was wondering about Sarah and I’m glad that she got a full circle happy ending.
