I have a hard time giving up on books, but I should have with this one. The idea of the plot intrigued me, but it just didn’t work, and it kept the main character too isolated to really be interesting. The “twist” was the most boring of the options I’d considered, and the setting itself stifles growth. I loved this author’s wolf series, but this one just really wasn’t for me.
