I picked up this book because of all the positive reviews and I love myself a good cozy mystery with some history. However, these characters are just unlikable. from the “I am not a homo-sapien” to the representation that everyone in the south is just stupid and ignorant I kept on cringing while I listened to this book. If you are looking for a stereotypical representation that everyone in the south is ignorant, stupid, and a caricature this is the book for you. I just couldn’t stomach it.
Even the main characters are unlikable. the male lead is only likable if you are some weak female that likes a bad representation of womanizer. Run girl, run! Those pick up lines as well as pushiness only means you are going to be a conquest, unless you are from the south and I guess it is the only type of guy you can get?
I must say that I like the reader, however I will not be buying any more from this series.
