That I need to be listening to this book after getting so disappointed of the main character which most impressive thing he did before became a vampire (wtf!! Where did that come from!?) was making cars with flat batteries start (except the 3 dogs he killed before he just looked on his friends got killed /almost killed /burn out energy. However he was good burying people. This is before I listen to this book. I may change opinions on book, but the main character could just be a dog (no, a dog would protect his pack, a bird in a cage) telling what happens to the others. I kinda root for the villain, now her goal is to kill Dust. A good ending is both dying, but probably Dust will use all power avoid being killed, while all but sammy and probably the dibs guy (Randall) and since a woman write the young brother survive too. Unfortunately as said Dust probably will live if he suddenly not sacrifice himself probably by trying to get away and save Sammie..
I hate this book by listening to first part. Will be interesting if I hate it more or less after I will really try listening to it. (need to hear all obsession, specially with a cool scenario, which author makes. She probably should find someone to help her with plots further on. I actually started rooted for the villain after how useless Dust were in the fight where Josie almost died when dust watched..
First of all, 1st hour is the epilogue from book 1 abit extended. So all reason for making this 2 books is ridiculous.
Omg! After not seeing anyone in a year, then meeting Sammie and Todd, then Bo/Josie family which seemed to be rather informed, suddenly there is several military compounds around usa. So the military seemed to not check California but fighting in Colorado. Bo had no vhf? No sights of any airpatrol there suddenly is an mass? Seriously. I will not comment anymore on this piece. Good version of the apocalypse, but no reasonable response /plot/logic between stuff happening within 3 states where groups have no sight of survived military for 2 years (ish), now they are everywhere with information about the people who have changed than themselves. So stupid.
This book was an introduction with a terrible disposition. I may listen to hear how Dust NOT using his powers and look at others fight…
