I had to stop listening

I gave it a change when it got uncomfortable, until I had to stop listening. The way they described Wavy and the guy’s relationship, a kid and an adult, was too romantic.
I was hoping it was going that direction, until I read some comments that let me know my fears were correct.

Glorifying pedophiles, rape , romanticizing it like it is ok because of her past. As some that have suffered abuse, it breaks my heart that this books exist. It is scary the people defending it as well. So many kids and teens are abused, so many people look the other way. In the case of this book is romanticizing it and this is part of the problem.

They are changing laws to give less jail time for people that abuse “consenting” children. This real life and abuse is abuse, kids can’t give consent. Kids and teens need protection.
