I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it lost my attention repeatedly. I listened to several other novels while also trying to trudge through this one. The story did not grip me. Is that the author’s fault? The reader’s? Either way, I am glad it is now behind me. I didn’t hate it, and I won’t say it’s bad, but it wasn’t for me.
