TurtleMe continues to amaze me with his pacing of the plot in each book along with providing sufficient backstory for the MC and those of the secondary characters. The quests and challenges are thrilling and the dynamics between the primary and even tertiary characters makes each of them memorable and distinct and easy to become invested in them. He also explores the unique psychological aspects of the MC, what with him being reborn in an mother with his memories from his previous adult life being intact.
I dropped this one start mostly due to the teenage puppy love narrative which seemed overdone. It wasn’t a significant issue but half-stars aren’t allowed.
Travis Baldree continues to excel in playing the bard role as a narrator.
