While there is still an open-question as to what reality this Earth belongs in, I enjoyed Carl Stubblefield’s decision to put Gus’ past hardships in perspective by presenting him with someone who had a much more horrible upbringing than his and still managed to keep it all together. The expansion of father’s and brother’s relationship also provided a level of grayness between the characters that lends itself to less predictable future plot arcs.

Travis Baldree’s dispassionate and yet riveting character performance is always a treat to listen to.
