Okay so I listened to Snow Fall and liked it so much that I wanted to read more by this author. I was surprised to find it was part of a series so I immediately got the rest of the books in this series. This is book two and I was not disappointed.

Possible spoilers (not really but some people tend to get annoyed at the smallest hint of the story so warning anyway)

A professional hugger and an assassin? Who would have thought that would make a good story. But it really was good. I like that so far the books in this series can be read as stand alone stories or as part of the series. I also like that we get to see characters from the previous book. Philip Alces is a relatively new to me narrator and I love how strong his voice is. I have heard Joel Leslie in several other books and I tend to really enjoy his performances. This was no exception.

We didn’t really get a deep background on either of the main characters but we did get to see what led them to the point where they met. I always love it when an author does not over explain or describe. So far I am digging this series. I have the next book, A Dangerous Dance downloaded and can’t wait to listen to Mase and Bill’s stories. I know that this is not any type of alpha and omega book, but Both guys seem alpha to me so I am sure their story will be very interesting, especially given how much they butted heads in this book. Cant wait.
