I couldn’t remember where I got this book from so I downloaded and started to listen. It was a girl named Jesse trying to protect and feed her sisters in a ravaged earth. Aliens had came in response to the Beacon we send out. Riots broke out bombs were dropped art was in chaos and so her and her sisters were living in an underground parking lot trying to stay safe. One night while out trying to find food she quickly has to hide when she hears a truck coming hiding in the wall of the warehouse the truck happens to be gone right into that warehouse. He hears Neumanns talk about the alien they caught and how they are going to dissect it and then kill it. As much as she hates these aliens that change the earth she knew, he knew she couldn’t leave him to die. Breezing and waiting for the human men to go away when they finally do Jesse sneaks out from her hiding spot and climbs into the truck to see if she can help this alien. She is scared and doesn’t know if the alien will kill her, but alas she helps him. After he is free he attacks them in and kills them and Jesse runs away,. Little does she know the alien now owes her a life death and wants to find her and protect her. Him and his two warrior friends save her and dagger hunt for her and find her and her sister Jordan very ill while young Taylor tries to tint to their needs. There is no need to worry now though because Hunter is going to take care of all of them. He claims Jesse else is a mate which is called his Omitay.
This is definitely not a genre I would usually buy and I have no idea what attracts me to these books but I have downloaded two more before I even wrote this review. I love it I just cannot stop listening to it. I recommend this to anyone who likes supernatural romance and alien stories. The narrator is awesome I love him he is one of the best narrators I have heard.Now I will go and listen to the next book in this series.
