This is it. My favorite book in the series.
I Loved Riley, Frank, and Eliza’s stories. I love the trilogy that sets up and explains Finn and the city of Sanskrit. But this book tapped into something. I could feel my heart race, my breathing bated, and I found myself pumping the air in excitment as Wesley… i love Wesley. Greatest character, and a pivitol storytelling device. The author is brilliant, and Hellion showcases this.
It does follow a slightly different format than the other books, but I do not know of another way of telling this part of the tale that would have had as much impact. I love it, and can’t wait to model some 5e creature stat blocks after the things in this book, and those preceeding.
