I love this story so much! This is my 89th book I have read this year and it is top 3 all the way. A beautifully unconventional protagonist leaves her city life for a small country town. One of my favorite tropes. This book has wonderfully descriptive, food language, more specifically baking, and not just the boring stuff. The story has enough twists to keep you entangled, but nothing so unrealistic that you have to suspend belief. I absolutely love the authors use of language and scene setting. Just a wonderfully cozy novel, perfect for the fall or anytime really. I am just so sad that it’s over because it just wasn’t long enough for me!
