I’m happy I didn’t listen to the bad reviews, this audiobook was great. I’m downloading the next one now. Someone else did a good job comparing it to a hunger games but litrpg with interstellar politics.
In short, Carl finds himself in a video game-like-world and is working to level up with his cat. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and there’s some dark humor that isn’t for everyone, but I found parts hilarious spewing my drink at a few lines. I’m hooked and along for the ride. You should download it and give it a shot. If you don’t like cursing then it’s not for you. Don’t read it then and post a review that you thought it ruined the story. Just go listen to something else. Maybe stick with a Disney story.
