How does this tie into the series?

This book was not what I was expecting it to be. The previous books in the series we have been following the dragons in Stratham however this does not take place in Stratham nor does it mention anyone in Stratham. I do not understand how this book will fit into this universe but we shall see.

This is a very short story but very well executed. Dixon is a lion shifter who is latent. Him and is lion are not friends and over time that has made them both bitter and untrusting of one another. Melody is an elf who has more magic that she will to admit. She is trying her best to protect her sisters but unfortunately her sisters are protecting her.

Over the course of this book we learn a lot about a whole different world and hopefully this world will tie somewhat into Stratham. I am looking forward of learning more about Melody’s sister and also about her uncle. I think he is more nefarious then everyone thinks.
