Basically, it’s a Harry Potter-type story set in a world with video game mechanics like having status screens and selecting abilities. There are a few times when the perspective of another character in a scene is given. I found this refreshing and handled well so any twists that happen in the future feel like they weren’t thrown in at the last second for plot convenience. It was also a very different way to handle social awkwardness without making a new character come off negatively when Dante interprets the interaction negatively based on his life experience.
