I gave the Nora Hazard series kind of low scores. I also had very valid complaints. Something happened that I totally didn’t expect. I’m blown away.
I’m sorry Blaise but you gotta make CERTAIN that Emily Beresford chick doesn’t narrate anything else. Ever. Jeff made Nora the Nora I always wished she would be. I cannot believe the INFINITE difference a REAL narrator made to this character. Everytime she screams “HAZARD!!!!” It makes me freaking lose my $hit in excitement. All my doubts are officially dead. Yeah, I won’t reread Nora’s trilogy (went through it thrice before I could afford Delvers 4 and 5) ever again. Imagining trying to read that with that Emily woman just brutalizing everything is just painful. It’s just not ever happening. It’ll stay in my library of course. Won’t return it cause even though there was stuff that just ruined it, it’s still there to support Blaise. Jeff…. You’re amazing my guy. There probably was WAY less wrong with Nora’s trilogy but it’s impossible to tell because the narrator just completely ruined it. I knew good narration matters but not to the extent I believe now. Jeez… Just shocked.
So…. If people are having trouble with Nora cause you haven’t read the trilogy ( even though Blaise talked about the book and told everyone that it would be important and you shouldn’t miss) just get the Ebooks or just get them and power through that extreme subpar narration… because once you get here… Jeff SLAYS!!!!!! Sooooo Goooodddd…. Thanks Jeff for saving this character for me. You’ve restored my faith in humanity. (lol)… seriously tho.
