Welcome to the Midnight Fae Academy – a reverse harem with a definite twist.

MFA was my first dip into the RH world, and it was just so worth it. Having loved everything Lexi has written, I decided to finally give it a shot and dip a toe into RH. And man, she did not disappoint!

Lexi is truly a wonder at building character relationships in such a way that many authors simply do not accomplish. No one feels out of place in this novel, and no voice feels like its extraneous. I was honestly concerned when I started reading originally that I wasn’t going to like the dynamic, and that it would just feel over complicated or simply be an excuse for a lot of people to have fun together at once. But that isn’t what this is. Lexi makes character relationships complicated, and the dynamic between the Hs just as important as the ones they have with the h.

And on the topic of the h – Lexi truly lives this character as she writes. You can tell there’s so much thought that goes into her that you cannot help but want to experience and know more. Taken from the world she knows and thrown into a dark world of intrigue, vampires and other good things – Aflora handles adversary like a real person while somehow “conquering” her mates (and I use that term extremely loosely).

And man are the voices fantastic. I was concerned so many voice actors would be distracting and take away from the story, but they didn’t even in the slightest. Sarah and Kale are always amazing, and while I have no doubt Kale could have handled each male voice like a champ, adding in the rest of the cast breaths in a life to each character that adds so much more. There is never confusion in who is speaking, and its done with such a mastery that I truly felt like I was listening to each character as they went.

I cannot wait for the next audio book installment!
