Q.B. does not back down from telling hard truths and boy was Charley’s truth a hard one. A husband who ignored her and his love language was “let me buy you this,” but I don’t have time for you. She agrees to marriage counseling and ends up in a triangle of sorts with her counselor and her husband. When it all comes out, Matt shows a side he’s never shown before. He’s lied and manipulated Charley and for what, ego? Was Charley and Will right, no but there’s so much blame to go around it’s crazy. I can’t wait to see how it all ends up. I read and listened to the audiobook with Lacey Laurel and Alexander Neal narrating.
