This is my first time reading anything by Elise Sax. Her website promises hilarious happy endings and boy does she deliver! This audiobook is a bundle of 3 separate romance stories about residents of Summer Island. Each story is stand alone, but may contain some references about previous characters.
In each of the books we become entangled in the mind of the main female character. The witty one-liners going through each of these women’s heads will keep the listener chuckling. It is fun to discover the multitude of precarious situations in which our lovebirds-to-be find themselves.
Narrator Angie Hickman hits all the punchlines. Her voice is perfect for the innocent, doe-eyed Nora or insecure, bad-ass wanna-be Beryl or even Elise, a journalist with a nose for a good scoop. Ms. Hickman allowed me to escape for a few hours each day. I truly enjoyed the ride. As long as the listener is okay with language and sex, this is a fun listening experience.
