We all have epiphanies in our lives. Sometimes they come to us seemingly out of the blue, but sometimes they’re thrust down our throats in an almost brutal way. This is Henry’s experience. It’s not pleasant, to say the least, but he meets the challenge with laugh out loud sarcasm and dogged determination. And a lot of support from Reed.

I’ve come to expect excellence from Ms Walker’s writing and I wasn’t disappointed in the least. The characters are as real as your next door neighbors (or your family), the world building is complete and believable, and the emotions are all front and center. You’ll laugh, probably cry a bit and definitely gasp for breath as you tag along with Henry and Reed while Henry picks himself up and makes some much needed changes.

Joel’s performance is spot on, as well. Voices are clearly distinguishable and emotions are vocalized throughout, making it a joy to listen to him.

Pick this one up and spend a few hours with Henry and Reed. You’ll laugh, you’ll gasp and mostly, I think you’ll be encouraged on your own life journey.
