Like the subject, the story itself reveals more secrets, intricacies and twists with each level. Dungeon Crawler Carl is not just a funny sci-fi dungeon romp, it’s also a look into the challenges of modern day relationships on all levels. The author cleverly interlaces societal observations into the narrative. It’s a page turner of a book but I recommend taking a little pause between major story beats to reflect. Now excuse me while I purchase book two!
