I stopped after Beast punished and humiliated Laurent for not wanting to sleep with him because they’re had a great day. Despite knowing Laurent was traumatized, had had something bad happen to him at the hands of a violent but seemingly kind man. Despite being told that after one day, Laurent didn’t want to have sex, especially after Beast called him some very cruel things and lashed out.
Good narrator, easy listening writing, interesting plot, but I can’t recommend this book based on what’s going down. Six hours in and just… Yeah. I can’t “hang in there”, not with this as the set up for romance.
