This series was a complete surprise. I started listening based on positive reviews, but had not heard of the author or the series prior to this.
In short, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. The narration is excellent and as others have said, it’s a simple, but elegant and engaging listen. It truly is unique with a very creative magic system and original characters. A different take on the fantasy hero’s journey that I highly recommend for fantasy fans
