Overall the story was good. The plot was fairly good and had some interesting characters. The dungeon core comes up with some creative ideas. The problem is the dungeon fairy.

I don’t know if it was just the audio effect that gave her voice a slightly echoing quality or if was the way the voice actor made her but the crying and especially the laughter is like nails in a chalkboard abs she does a fair amount of both early on. Thankfully it lessens a lot later in the book. Her attitude is another issue. She’s pretty toxic to the dungeon core. She bosses him around, criticizes him for not instinctively knowing things, regularly forgets important details, throws crying fits to get her way, lectures him on morality one minute then encourages that same behavior the next, and occasionally smacks him when he annoys her at all. This becomes less frequent later on but maybe that’s because the story has expanded enough that it’s no longer entirely focused around those two. They give each other terms of endearment but there’s no real chemistry between them. For the dungeon core’s part of seems like he does it to placate her but there are a few times when he says he has real affection for her. Maybe the delivery was a bit unconvincing but it felt more like the story set up their bond at all.

There is also a side problem with the ambient sound effects added to the background being a bit too loud and cluttering up the audio from time to time.

I’d like to reiterate that the story is pretty good overall but be aware there might be some issues. If those are particularly irksome to you then maybe pass on this one.
