The audiobooks have parts that add to the experience and then other parts that are distracting. I like the narrators but there is something about the cadence that knocks me right out of the story. It isn’t just one narrator. Not sure if it is a style choice or just a combo of words or ‘internal dialogue’ & their way of delivering. It wasn’t as distracting in the first book (even though same actors).

A part of me wants to reread written with the narrators’ voices in my head but using my own reading pace. (shrug)

This book world is interesting and the hellish mysteries continue. I am looking forward to finding out how it is all turns out.
