Travis Bagwell has written a compelling novel on Riley’s ascension to badassitude status after completing her side quest, given her on accepting the enchanted bow, Revenge, from book two’s cult quest. She ventures into this alone since Jason and Frank are busy elsewhere but meets up with 3 other companions on the road. While there is some backstory provided for each of these new companions, it is somewhat at a surface, level and thus making them less interesting as well. The quest itself seems a bit formulaic but still entertaining. Riley’s real world empowerment realization came near the end but was no less captivating.

David Stifel performance was still very good but was slightly hampered with having to distictively mimic so many female voices.
