Arthur is an underappreciated President and he is rarely discussed unless one is chatting about the least memorable US Presidents — and no one ever has discussions like that.

Whatever we know about Arthur is in this book and all of it is delivered with style and panache by Paul Heitsch. I think that Heitsch’s clear, sharp narrative style and his respectful manner make this a wonderful listen. I can’t imagine a better job could be done by any other actor.

If you’re going to learn anything about Chester Arthur, there is no better way to do so than by listening to Greenberger’s fine prose deftly handled by a skilled narrator.
