After the last book, “skysworn” which in my opinion was a setup, shorter, mostly boring book, this is quite the opposite. It actually seems more of “side quest” for our MC, but ends up being the most exciting adventure to date. Our MC gets a taste of things he needed, and shows us once again why he is fun to learn about. Most of the story is about him, and his surviving in bad situations. They introduce good, new characters and refreshes a lot of ideas and the group dynamic. This is the book I couldn’t put down. If you made it this far, I doubt you will stop, but know its somehow my favorite of the series so far! on to the next one!!
