Finn is hard to like, and his decisions often do not align with his character development. This gave the narrative a railroaded feel in which the desired end result drives the characters’ actions. The narrative largely takes place in the game world and tends to forget that the outside world exists. This makes some character decisions particularly hard to understand, and I often found the choice breaking my suspension of disbelief. In the end, there were elements of the story that I enjoyed but I struggled to finish the book and I am not sure that I will start on the next one.
