The reviews claiming that this book is like the Harry Dreadsen series is very misleading. You wanna read something that seems so believeable that it will leave you wondering, read Harry Dreadsen. Harry Dreadsen gets in deep with cooking up potions and other magic in his cold basement with the skull giving instructions. He has a staff and a wand to focus his energy into destructive blasts. In case all else fails, Harry has a gun. Harry’s cemetery scene at night in the cold rain feels so real. The cemetery scene in this book is skimmed over like everything else in the book.
