This is the second book in the Amasai Rising Series and it was better than the first one. A lot of things happen in this story. The princess runs away from the people who wish to control her. She becomes a captive of a dragon, who claims to be her ally. She continues to deal with the dark power that threatens to consume her. The princess begins a new quest. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this series to those who enjoy coming-of-age fantasies. Brenda Scott Wlazlo’s narration was fantastic and added to the story’s entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.
