I will be honest, when I picked up this title it was a lark and I didn’t really have high expectations. But I was absolutely delighted that I did. Something about this story spoke directly to my inner gaming geek and drew me in. If you have ever participated in role playing games I highly recommend this title, and even if you haven’t. The characters described were different enough to create a world with a lot of possibilities and I thoroughly enjoyed finding out what direction they took. The narration was fine. Although I think the number of female characters presented a challenge for Mr. Hays; he did admirably, putting energy and color into each according to their natures.
