I am amazed that Mr. Brown is able to keep coming up with exciting new episodes of his Frontier Series. This is episode twenty-five in total and number twelve in the second section. I have enjoyed the series. I started reading the series because Mr. Brown was a local author here in the Monterey Bay Area. He has since moved away. Years ago, my mother encouraged me read local authors whenever possible. I have discovered some exciting reads following that advice.
The book is well written. The plot twists and turns. The characters are interesting. The author adds some new characters in each episode and sometimes eliminates other. As usual, Mr. Brown writes excellent space battle scenes. I enjoy the regular characters and feel like they are now friends I visit periodically. I found the ending a bit of a surprise. I am looking forward to the next installment.
The book is eight hours and nine minutes. Jeffrey Kafer does an excellent job narrating the book. I am happy that Kafer has narrated all the books in the series. I hate it when a series has a variety of narrators. I also enjoy listening to Kafer’s voice. Kafer is a voice-over actor and has narrated many audiobooks.
