A slow ramp-up to a recently well worn genre, the execution and characterization in this story are top notch. The plot moves slowly and steadily without any self indulgent wallows. All three primary characters shine in their own right.
To be candid, the tale had me grinning like an idiot at the emotionally quirky, yet perfectly authentic moments in this pitch perfect universe. The power of this story is it’s restraint, the joy in its all-too-human superheroes.
