This audiobook is performed, not simply read. Each character has a voice. This really leverages the audio format. I absolutely loved it.

When you’re done, the best companion piece is Dennis Quaid’s reading of Tom Wolfe’s “The Right Stuff.” Terrific in its own right, the book offers complementary perspectives on events in the Yeager autobiography. Even if you’ve read it, have another go; Quaid’s reading is beyond any audiobook you ever listened to.
