I really enjoy reading this series and listening to it again and again. Joel Leslie does an amazing job with all the different voices, accents, and level of emotion given throughout the characters’ dialogue. His ability to make everything come alone through his narration went perfectly with Himes’ writing ability. I really hope the story continues with Angel and Simeon as the lead and not his little brother, like so many authors in this genre tend to do.
