The Empire, the 4th book in the Infinite Realm series is okay. I listened to the audiobook and the narration by Phil Thron is excellent. Unfortunately, at least 1/4 of the book is spent endlessly repeating and reviewing gaming character stats. I tend to zone out during these chapters but I find they are wasted filler.
When the author is actually progressing the story, the book is closer to 4 stars. The characters are interesting and engaging. I have even begun to like Zack. The series would be so much better if there was a better balance between gaming and story. That stated, I want to know what is going to happen so I will continue with this series.
