Despite the extremely grim opening, this book left me feeling more optimistic and hopeful about the future than I expected it would. Extremely comprehensive, well researched world building with highly plausible plot developments.
On the audio side, I could have done without so many shifts in readers, especially when there seemed to be conflicting accent choices for the same characters when voiced by different actors. It got a little confusing sometimes.
