Where does Cronin’s Key rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
While it’s not the best book – storywise – I’ve ever listened to, it’s near the top. However, of audiobooks I’ve listened to, if it’s not the best, it’s in the top three.
What did you like best about this story?
Incredible world building! It was seamless and utterly believable that the elements of this story could take place today.
What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?
The amazing range he has. There are so many characters in this book in addition to the two leads, and Joel voices each of them distinctly. From Scottish to Japanese, he nails them all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, and that’s not in a bad way. I think it took me days to get through this book because there were times when I stopped the audio just to savor how good it was and to let it sink in.
Any additional comments?
If you want a well-written and well-paced story and are afraid to dip your toe into the world of audiobooks, you won’t find a better jump off point than this.
