Spoiler alert!
This story sucked me on from the very start. I hated the closed-minded personality of the female lead. In the same breath, she said she was against censorship and banning books yet stated erotica and books of that nature had no place in a public library. The male lead pulled me in from his darkness and fixation on the FML. The back and forth between them had me rooting for them both at various points, and I went on a twisted adventure right along with them.
The narration was amazing, and the voices fit the characters perfectly. When the narrators had to do voices of other characters, it was easy to tell the difference between the leads and the others, and it kept me on the journey this story told.
That being said……….
What in the actual hell is with that epilog!!!! 😳 Sarah needs to get her comeuppance. I’m sorry, but that witch is evil and I want to read a book where Lucas recognizes her corrupted soul for what it is and serves her with a slice of vengeance pie for all the people she has messed with.
