The plot and story was wonderful though heavy at times. There is a lot of death, but the action and fight scenes were vivid and exciting; it felt like I was watching an anime during those scenes.
My greatest gripe is that the narrator kept mispronouncing all the Japanese words. He did zero research on how Jp vowels sound; it really isn’t that hard! Like why would you pronounce “Neesan” and “Niisan” the same way? Why would you pronounce “Yoshi” like YAWSH. Who doesn’t know Mario’s green dinosaur sidekick??! Gah! I guess they should have picked someone geekier.
Other than that it was a wonderful ‘read,’ but I would recommend actually reading it instead of listening to the audible if you’re sensitive to mispronunciations like me.
