Although this is a post-apocalyptic EMP book, it differs from many others. It doesn’t focus on the EMP part, but shows the societal collapse. I love the main character, Dick, who was a marine and struggles with PTSD. It is realistic to me, how he struggles but tries to do the best he can for himself and those he sees as his own. It has all the elements of a SHTF scenario but to me, it centers more around the characters, their interactions, and trials.
I love Kevin Pierce, and think his voice is perfect for the book and making Dick’s voice come alive. Great performance. I would definitely recommend.
