Great story and narration but waaay too preachy

I fully support Christian values but too many places in this book where he just reads out of the Bible for 10 minutes at a time when we could have understood his point with a few lines. Feels like filler and the feeling of having it forced on us as a captive audience isn’t cool, plus it distracts from the story as he does this just when we are dying to find out what happens next, instead we get a 10 minute sermon. This caused me to not get the remaining books in this story-line. I even tried the 2nd book and returned it because it does the same thing. Kevin Pierce is awesome as a narrator as usual.
