I’ve been wanting Finn’s story since I read about him in My Funny Valentine.
Book is narrated by Lucinda Gainey who is new to me.
Finn is this sexy lumberjack who let’s be real is many women’s fantasy! Sexy, sweet, kind, thoughtful, family man, mama’s boy but in a good way and always dependable. I’ve wanted to hear about his HEA since MFV.
Mallory is new to town after leaving Philadelphia needing a change after her Dr tells her she needs to lose weight for her health. Already strapped with terrible body image issues and life-long struggles to lose weight, she embarks on a journey to better health.
This book is as much about romance as it is about self love. Finn has been constantly put down by his long time girlfriend, Erin, and ridiculed by her for being a mama’s boy and always doing for his family. Mallory has always been put down and bullied because of her weight. She does have great friends and family back home.
Full disclosure I read these books out of order, so I already knew about Finn and Erin. However, her character is quite different in this book than in MFV.
I really disliked her in this book. She was awful!
