Since this story hits close to home, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
There is a historical marker on Interstate 35 as you approach Hinkley from the south. It mentions the Historic Hinkley Fire. I often drive by this sign.
In addition, I live in a town that was once James J. Hills farm. Many buildings still exist.
