I’ve read a lot of Aiden Bates’ books, but only about shifters. I really like his writing style and the way he creates believable and likable characters.
It is the second book in the Road to Redemption series and it is a continuation of Rory and King’s story. Even though I have not read the first book i got sucked into the story right from the first chapter.
I really enjoyed how fast paced this book was, there was no time to take a break. I liked King’s protectiveness and Rory’s “new family”. The story is SCORCHING HOT, there is A LOT of sexy times and let me tell You, they are looong and really really steamy! (Do not make my mistake and listen it without earphones!)
What I didn’t like was lack of communication between MCs, King seemed to always know better what was good for Rory and he kept making the same mistakes over and over. On the other hand, Rory was kind of irresponsible and underestimated how dangerous the mob was.
I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I think that Austin Jay did a WONDERFUL job! Even though I prefer ebooks, I really enjoyed it listening to this story ❤️.
