I wasn’t sure I would enjoy a book entirely devoted to Riley. However, her character and the Awaken Online world is fleshed out nicely here adding many details that continue into book 3. While book 2.5 is not needed to enjoy book 3, it does add many details that will add to your enjoyment and deeper understanding of book 3.
