“Instant Darkness” is another stellar first entry to another great series by JJ Holden and his co-author on this one, Mark J. Russell. It’s clean, which is always a plus, and very family oriented. It deals with the fallout of a CME. And the endearing friendship between Emma and Corey, which ultimately leads to an unlikely living situation with two families. Corey and Emma’s fathers, Nick and Abram, don’t necessarily get along. And as in all EMP survival thrillers, relationship struggles are at the core of survival. This is a great start to a series. And once again, the reader can see why PA survivalist thrillers are the best. They have everything.

Kevin Pierce is the voice of the apocalypse. He completes any work he voices. He brings a texture and essence to his performances that few can compare to.
